Badaling Great Wall
The Great Wall is one of the most impressive constructions the Chinese have created in their history. It symbolizes the pride of China and demonstrates China's inherent protective nature and ingenuity. Badaling Great Wall, which was the first section of the Wall that was opened to tourists after reconstruction, is located in Yanqing County, about 70 km north of Beijing city. It has the best preserved parts of the Great Wall, and it is seen as a highlight built in the Ming Dynasty. The construction itself winds its way along the mountain ranges giving visitors spectacular views of the wall from different perspectives. The structure of the wall consists of huge bar-stones and bricks, and the signal fire-platforms were important sections of the whole fortification of ancient China.
