Coron Island with Calauit Island Ecotour (10E1)
3 Days, 2 Nights
Island and Wildlife Experience by Sea
Get the chance to explore the varied attractions of Coron, pass by the numerous beatiful islands on the way to one of the most endangered destinations in the world - Calauit Island.
Calauit is a very unique destination. In the 70's the governments of Kenya and the Philippines embarked on a project to provide sanctuary to some of the threatened African wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, elands, bucks, and topis. Now, try to imagine a small island in the Pacific where African animals roam freely! This is only half the story, since their introduction, at least three generations of each species have been born on the island. No new blood or genes have been introduced since then. Now, the new generations of animals have been showing signs of adaptation and genetic changes. If nothing is done to revert the changes, the animal populations might eventually collapse. This makes Calauit Island an extremely endangered destination!
Get ready for a long banca ride filled with very amazing tropical scenery.
Destinations include: Siete Pecados Marine Park, Kayangan Lake, Twin Peaks Reef, Twin Lagoons, Atwayan Beach, CYC Island Calauit Safari Park, Black Island Caves, Panlaitan Fishermen Village
