Maquinit Hot Spring
After a long day in the beach or island-hopping, Maquinit is a good destination to ease up the tense or tired muscles. Set on the edge of a mangrove forest and by the coast, the hot spring water gushes towards the man-made pools where the visitors take a dip. The ambience of the site is very rustic.
Be very careful when dipping into the water as the temperature can be very hot. Not advisable for people with hypertension, pregnant women, and those very sensitive to hot temperature. How to get there
From the town proper of Coron, hire a tricycle to reach the site. Travel time is about 15 minutes. Make sure that the tricycle returns for you on the appointed time you set (say, after 2 or 3 hours). It can also be reached by small boats that can dock near the mangrove area (there is a boardwalk that leads to the spring).
